Armstrong Place Senior Housing

Back to list

Armstrong Place Senior Housing is located along the Third Street light rail line, just across the street from the Bayview Playground in the Bayview District of San Francisco. The community provides 116 affordable apartments for seniors, adjacent to 124 affordable for-sale homes at Armstrong Townhomes. Amenities include landscaped courtyard areas, a community room, 7,600 square feet of commercial space, community services and retail shops.

Twenty-three of the apartments are set aside for formerly homeless seniors participating in San Francisco’s Direct Access to Housing (DAH) program. These residents are eligible for intensive social services provided by the Providence Foundation of San Francisco, which will enable them to transition to independent living. Armstrong Place Senior Housing received LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council in September 2011; it is BRIDGE’s second LEED Certified project.
