The common areas of Fremont's Irvington Terrace are thoughtfully designed to meet the varying needs of families. One hundred affordable apartments are arranged in three stories over a parking garage, allowing first-floor apartments to have individual entries, and every apartment having either a private balcony or patio. The large courtyard takes advantage of the building's southern exposure, providing areas of sun and shade. The community room, two large landscaped courtyards, offices, laundry, and a large lobby/living room are included amenities. Irvington Terrace received a 2008 Gold Nugget Grand Award for Best Affordable Project. Irvington is also conveniently located within one-half mile of parks, schools, restaurants, and food markets. Eleven units are filled on a referral basis.
